Viticulture

Surface of the vineyard-24 hectares. Soil-deep gravels on limestone subsoil. Plantation-51 % cabernet sauvignon, 41 % merlot, 2 % cabernet franc and 6 % petit verdot. Average age of the vineyard-45 years old. Density-10 000 vines /ha plants/ha. Yield-1 kg g/plant. Growing-biodynamics farming. Harvest-hand picking.

Vinification

Traditional in concrete and wooden vats. Plots selection. Fermentation on skins-22 days.

Wine aging

In French oack barrels during 18 months. 40 % of new oak every year.

Vintage details

Conservation-20 years.

Tasting notes

The nose has aromas of red fruits and floral notes. It is bright and fresh. On the palate, the tannins are fine and elegant.
