The vineyards are located on a gravel plateau in the western part of the commune, differing in the composition of more stony soils from other farms in Saint-Emilion.
Aged for 18-20 months in new oak barrels.
Wine storage potential is 20-25 years.
The wine is dark ruby in color with purple reflections. It has a beautiful, thick, dense, concentrated, deep taste with notes of cocoa and espresso coffee, blackcurrant and fig, nuances of charcoal, truffle and tobacco, juicy acidity, firm but silky tannins and a long aftertaste. The rich aroma of the wine is fragrant with tones of red plum, crushed strawberries, cedar, blackcurrant and undergrowth, light nuances of graphite, incense and oysters.
