This 100% Merlot cuvée is made with grapes from the best plots of Lalande De Pomerol, harvested by hand . Almost 70 years old, these vines are located on an area of one hectare. Located in the heart of the vineyard, the soil is composed on the surface of about 30 centimeters of gravel then blue clay deeper down.
Wine aging
Modius means in Latin the muid , name that is given to the container of 400 to 500 liters. It is indeed this type of barrels that we use to age this majestic cuvée, which will last between 15 and 18 months.

Tasting notes
In terms of tasting, Modius will amaze you with its intense color with ruby reflections . Its complex and open nose with aromas of black fruits (blueberries, blackberries) will convince you. Finally, the aromas are found in a frank palate with ripe and supported tannins.
