The grape varieties are planted on three main types of soil characteristic of the appellation: Brown and limestone, skeletal on marl, and red earth on sandstone.
Rigorous sorting, destemming, partial blending of grape varieties; prefermentation maceration at low temperature before alcoholic fermentation then malolactic fermentation.
Aged in stainless steel and cement vats.
The robe is garnet with purple reflections. Nose: notes of blackcurrant, violet, blackberry, liquorice. Evolution after a few years of keeping on aromas of prune stone fruits and leather. Mouth: Full-bodied and generous with elegant and tight tannins. It will evolve in time on more complex aromas of clafoutis cherry, kirsch.
