Château Saint-Louis La Perdrix is located in Bellegarde, in the heart of the Camargue, between Nimes and Arles. It boasts 50 hectares of vineyards on one plot of land and 7 hectares of olive trees. Its soil, composed of smooth pebbles, contributes to the ripening of grapes on par with the best wines in the Rhone Valley.
The bunches of Carignan grapes from the oldest section of the estate are harvested by hand and placed in small boxes to ensure their preservation and prevent pre-maceration. Carignan vinification is carried out in whole bunches to create a juicy, crunchy red fruit character. The Syrah and Grenache grapes are harvested, destemmed and then vinified, ensuring optimal extraction of tannins and coloring matter.
Aging in barrels gives this wine roasted notes wrapped in elegant melted tannins.
The wine shows a deep, intense color. Elegant and complex aroma is a mixture of fruity and toasted notes. Flexible and powerful taste expresses aromas of black and red berries such as cherries and blackberries.
