It is grown in typical for the region plots near Lake Neusiedl: fertile black earth soil provides vineyards with hot summers. The red gravel layer warms the grapes in autumn and removes excess rainfall. Growing: Careful pruning and canopy work are the foundation of quality and guarantee healthy vines and moderate vine set. To improve soil health and biodiversity, every second row of vineyards is landscaped.
Fermentation, three-week maceration and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, followed by 12 months of aging also in stainless steel.
Colour: dark ruby red with an almost black heart and purple reflections. The aroma is reminiscent of dark cherries and blackberry confits with subtle hints of cocoa. Taste: Velvety and juicy taste with a fine texture and fruity aftertaste. Very harmonious, charming.
