CHATEAU CHEVAL BLANC (SAINT-EMILION) CHATEAU CHEVAL BLANC Premier Grand Cru Classé Red 2006 Saint-Emilion grand cru

Red

Description

Viticulture

Harvest from 15 -28 September.

Wine aging

Approximately 8% of the juice has been drained and the wine has been aged in 100% new oak barrels for 16-17 months.

Tasting notes

The 2006 Cheval Blanc has a powerful, inviting aroma of ripe red fruit and Virginia tobacco that reflects the benefits of barrel aging. The wine starts full-bodied and rich, combining the softness of Merlot and the fragrant elegance of Cabernet Franc. In addition to its impressive fruitiness, rich tannins and balance lead to a wonderful long finish.
