Integrated viticulture - Drastic reduction in the use of phytosanitary products in the vineyard.
In stainless steel vats. The single plot is vinified separately using the most modern techniques, but in the pure Bordeaux tradition.
Barrel ageing: 50% new barrels, 50% one-wine barrels.
The sunshine that reigned almost unchallenged over the vines during the three months of summer and the exceptional Bordeaux Indian summer in 2016 made it possible to produce a truly exceptional vintage in Saint Emilion.
Intense and deep colour. The first nose is characteristic of the expression of the great Merlot on clay soil with a simply perfect summer: blackberry liqueur, liquorice and black pepper rise together. The palate attacks with a powerful but extremely velvety tannin; it develops like a real liqueur, without heaviness but with a lot of freshness. The finish is powerful and very long. Vanilla and black fruit compote lengthen in the mouth on a particularly persistent spicy finish. A great wine, definitely made for ageing but already extremely fine.
