Integrated viticulture - Drastic reduction in the use of phytosanitary products in the vineyard.
In oak vats. Each plot is vinified separately using the most modern techniques, but in the pure Bordeaux tradition.
16 months in oak barrels (65% new barrels and 35% one-wine barrels) in a specially designed underground cellar, ideal for maturing.
The 2015 vintage started very well with a fast and homogeneous flowering, thanks to a month of June that was the sunniest for a century! The 2015 is sure to be one of the finest vintages in the La Sergue saga and perhaps one of the most graceful.
Deep, dense colour with bluish highlights. The first nose is intense; it evokes candied black fruit, blackcurrant jam, cocoa and sloe. With aeration, the aromatic palette of LA SERGUE 2015 is enriched by touches of Havana, liquorice and white pepper on a background of baked plum. The tannin is generous, well present without being opulent. It melts quickly in the mouth, without aggressiveness, like velvet. The palate develops generously, without fatigue, with a nice freshness and a return to spicy black fruit on the finish. A wine that is both serious and charming.
