Located seven kilometres north of Saint-Estèphe, this 48 hectare vineyard planted with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon is situated on clay-limestone soils.
The grapes are picked fairly late, destemmed, sorted, lightly crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks with total temperature control. It is then placed in stainless steel tanks where it is aged for 12 months before being bottled.
Ready to drink, good ageing potential.
Canteloup 2017 has a nice intense crimson robe. The bouquet is expressive, with notes of plum and liquorice highlighted by hints of spice and smokiness. This wine is smooth and round, with impressive length.
