The 2009 vintage is remarkable for its opulence without excess. It opens up with delicate notes of violet, which evolve towards powerfull ripe fruit aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and quince combined with a touch of liquorice. The wine is ample, full-bodied and very unctuous on the palate, developing notes of candied fruit. The long, coated tannins lend this wine a velvety texture. The finish is fleshy and intense with lush notes of caramel and spice. A menthol touch adds a sensation of freshness. Remarkably precise fruit aromas, maturity and balance.
