Vineyard Chateau Angelus, occupying 23.4 hectares, is located on clay-limestone soils.
Lactic acid fermentation takes place in small oak barrels that only small estates with significant means can afford.
Aged 18-22 months in 100% new oak barrels.
The wine has a rich pomegranate-purple color. The wine intrigues with an elegant, round, perfectly balanced taste with a silky texture, fruity-spicy accents, refreshing acidity and fine-grained tannins in a surprisingly long aftertaste. The complex and multifaceted aroma of the wine is represented by a harmonious interweaving of shades of redcurrant jelly, blueberry pie, blackberry, lavender, rose petals and ground black pepper.
